This position is located in the Rivertowns area of Westchester, NY. 
 
Summary
The Sr. Systems Engineer is a senior technical and security-focused role responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of client IT environments. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, responding to complex support requests, leading advanced troubleshooting efforts, and implementing secure IT solutions across endpoints, servers, networks, and cloud environments. A strong emphasis is placed on cybersecurity best practices, including threat prevention, detection, remediation, and risk reduction.

The ideal candidate has a strong IT foundation, deep hands-on cybersecurity experience, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems including network connectivity, traffic utilization, etc.
  • Administer and secure AD, M365, DNS, DHCP, Azure, AWS, file/print services, and identity/access controls.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless security.
  • Provision, configure, and secure systems including endpoint protection, access controls, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Provide hands-on technical support across endpoints, servers, networks, and cloud environments, with a strong focus on best practices.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls such as endpoint protection, anti-malware, patch management, email security, and DNS filtering.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for service desk requests, ensuring timely, professional, and effective resolutions
 
Requirements:
Experience specifically with: 
  • PSA (Professional Services Automation) and RMM (remote monitoring and management) 
  • Configuring Microsoft Office 365 tenants.
  • Troubleshooting versions of Exchange and SharePoint (including online and classic).
  • Setting up servers and migrating server applications.
Experience generally with:
  • Windows desktop and servers, M365, AD, AWS, Azure and other cloud environments.
  • Securing networks using firewalls, VPNs, Vlans, routing and wireless security solutions.
  • Setting up endpoint protection, mail filtering and security monitoring tools.
  • Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity 
Other Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical and security concepts to non-technical users.
  • Friendly attitude,  patience with the customer, and service oriented demeanor
  • Desire to win 
Nice to Have:
Relevant certifications:
  • CompTIA Security- CompTIA Cloud Essentials and Cloud+ a definite plus
  • Network+
  • Microsoft security-related certifications
  • Firewall or endpoint security vendor certifications

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
